Ohio Environmental Council Action Fund Endorses Fairfield County Parks Levy Renewal

COLUMBUS, OH — Today, the Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) Action Fund announced its endorsement of the Fairfield County Parks Levy Renewal on the ballot in the May 4th Primary Election.

“We applaud Fairfield County Parks’ efforts to increase public access and acreage of quality natural space for its residents,” said Heather Taylor-Miesle, President of the OEC Action Fund. “We urge all Fairfield County Residents to vote in favor of the park levy to provide access to Ohio’s vibrant natural landscapes and essential programming for the community.”

The Fairfield County Parks District acquires and preserves land areas possessing special natural and historical features and to manage and maintain these resources for the benefit of its residents through appropriate educational and passive recreational programs and activities.

The park district’s work to preserve the natural habitats and cultural features is integral to the community.
