OEC Action Fund endorses Trumbull County MetroParks levy campaign

The Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) Action Fund today announced its endorsement of the Trumbull County MetroParks levy campaign.

“We applaud Trumbull County MetroParks’ efforts to increase public access and acreage of quality natural space in Ohio to date,” said Max Schaefer, Northeast Regional Director for the Ohio Environmental Council Action Fund. “We urge all Trumbull County Residents to vote in favor of the park levy to provide access to Ohio’s vibrant natural landscapes and essential programming for the community.”

Trumbull County MetroParks strives to conserve, manage, protect and promote Trumbull County’s natural resources for the benefit of the public recreational needs, environmental education, health and enjoyment. They do this through the 7 parks, 16.8 miles of paved bike trail, dog park and 5 hunting areas maintained by 1 employee and a budget of just $95,000. The parks are diverse and include water trail parks, bike trail trailheads, disc golf courses and nature walking trails.
